Homlee-Best Value flat with kitchen Near Metro Overview
First Impressions
When I first arrived at Homlee-Best Value flat with kitchen Near Metro, I’ll be honest — the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know. This three-star property doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and that’s actually refreshing in a city like New Delhi where so many places oversell themselves. The building itself is tucked into a residential area that feels authentically local, which I found way more interesting than staying in some sterile hotel district.
Location & Getting Around
The metro access here is genuinely excellent — I mean, when a place puts “Near Metro” right in its name, you’d hope they’re not exaggerating, and they’re not. You’re looking at maybe a five-minute walk to the station, which in Delhi’s heat is the difference between arriving somewhere fresh or completely wilted. What really struck me was how this location gives you that perfect balance of being connected to everything while still feeling like you’re experiencing real Delhi neighborhood life. The couples who rate this place so highly (and there are quite a few) probably appreciate having easy access to romantic spots around the city without paying premium prices for a central hotel.
The Apartment Setup
Here’s where this place really delivers on its promise — that kitchen isn’t just a mini-fridge and a hot plate situation. I’m talking about a proper setup where you can actually cook real meals, which honestly saved me a fortune during my stay. The apartment feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel, and after a few days of Delhi’s intense street food adventures, being able to make simple meals was such a relief. The space is clean and functional, though don’t expect Instagram-worthy interiors — it’s more about comfort and practicality.
Practical Perks
That free parking situation is actually a bigger deal than you might think if you haven’t spent time navigating Delhi traffic. Finding secure parking in this city can be a nightmare, so having a guaranteed spot takes away one major stress factor. The building feels safe and well-maintained, and I noticed the other guests seemed to be a mix of business travelers and couples who’d clearly done their research on value-for-money options. You know what impressed me most? The reliability — everything worked as advertised, from the wifi to the kitchen appliances, which isn’t always a given at this price point.
Why Guests Love It
This place succeeds because it understands exactly what it is — a solid, no-nonsense base for exploring Delhi that won’t drain your travel budget. The high ratings make sense when you consider what you’re getting: independence to cook your own meals, easy metro access to anywhere in the city, free parking, and a genuinely local neighborhood experience. It’s particularly smart for couples who want to experience Delhi together without the constraints of hotel meal times or the expense of eating out for every meal. If you’re the type of traveler who values practical comfort over fancy amenities, this spot delivers exactly what it promises.
To book a hotel in Delhi during Republic Day, visitors plan ahead to pair parade grandstands with Mughal garden strolls.

It is a reasonably cheap apartment (although in a less desirable part of Delhi). The caretaker was helpful (although management much less so)
What could be improved: The listing warns that it is noisy and near a mosque but it did not say that the mosque speaker is immediately outside the bedroom window! My stay was during Ramadan and so in addition to all the usual call to prayers, I was subjected to a pre-dawn warning presumably so that people could get up to have their food before the fast began. There were also extensive building works in the apartment above which resulted in even more noise of drills and sledge hammers plus dust and rubble dropping onto the balcony (where the washing machine was, making the balcony area unusable during the day and impossible to dry ckothes. Dust and small pieces were also dropping through the hole in the bedroom ceiling (where the fan was) .. I had to put the blanket on the bed to catch as much as possible. Management's only response was to send a cleaner but as the dust/debris fall was constant during the day was of no benefit.
During the week the electricity supplier called to disconnect the power. He said they had been the month before and disconnected for non-payment of bills but that someone had by-passed the meter and re-connected to the supply – both illegal and very dangerous. After some time without power and several phone calls to the management (who claimed the bill had been paid but did not defend the dangerous meter by-passing), I was told that an 'administrative fee' had been paid and the electrician would safely reconnect the power.
I had been in contact with the management about staying in one of their other, quieter apartments when I returned to Delhi next month but after their lack of action or apparent concern for the noise/building works and the alleged illegal power connection, I chose to look elsewhere.Maxim from Russia – 17 July 2023 (8/10)
