Homlee-Basement Flat with kitchen in Saket, South Delhi Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Homlee-Basement Flat with kitchen in Saket, South Delhi, you immediately realize this isn’t your typical hotel experience — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. Located on Saket Road in Block E, this three-star property feels more like staying at a well-organized friend’s place than a sterile hotel room. The basement setting might sound unusual, but it actually creates this cozy, private atmosphere that couples seem to absolutely love (the ratings back this up). You know what really caught my attention? The thoughtful setup that makes you feel settled in within minutes of arriving.
The Space and Kitchen
The real game-changer here is having your own kitchen — I mean, when you’re staying in Delhi for more than a night or two, being able to cook your own meals or just store snacks makes such a difference. The kitchen comes equipped with everything you’d actually need, not just the bare minimum that some places throw in as an afterthought. The flat itself has this practical layout that maximizes the space well, and while it’s a basement unit, it doesn’t feel cramped or dark like you might expect. There’s something refreshing about having room to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase.
Location in Saket
Saket is honestly one of those Delhi neighborhoods that strikes the right balance — you’re close enough to the action but not drowning in the chaos of central Delhi. The area has this more residential feel, which explains why it’s become such a hit with couples looking for a quieter base. You’ve got the Saket District Centre nearby with its shopping and dining options, plus decent metro connectivity when you want to explore other parts of the city. The fact that there’s free private parking available on site is actually a bigger deal than it might sound — anyone who’s tried to park in Delhi knows what I’m talking about.
Practical Considerations
What I appreciate about this place is how it handles the little things that can make or break a stay. The basement location means it stays naturally cooler during Delhi’s intense summer months, which is a nice bonus. The setup works particularly well if you’re planning to spend your days out exploring and just want a comfortable, functional space to return to. It’s not trying to be fancy or over-the-top — it’s just well-thought-out accommodation that does what it promises. The 7.7 rating reflects exactly what you get: solid, reliable, and practical without any unpleasant surprises.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of having your own kitchen, private parking, and a location that feels authentically Delhi (without the tourist markup) creates this sweet spot that’s hard to find elsewhere. Couples especially seem drawn to the privacy and the ability to create their own routine — you can grab fresh ingredients from local markets and actually cook together, or just enjoy morning coffee without dealing with hotel breakfast crowds. It’s the kind of place where you can experience Delhi more like a local than a tourist, and that’s becoming increasingly rare in a city that’s changing as fast as this one.

The location is perfect for a stay in South Delhi. Good locality. Feels safe. The house was clean and spacious.
What could be improved: We were stranded on the road outside the property for almost 50 minutes as the caretaker was not there. When I called him he said it will take 15 minutes. The Manager of the property told me that we needed to inform half an hour before arriving and it was informed to us in their WhatsApp messages. But no such instructions were provided. We had informed about reaching at 11 am but got late and reached at 1 pm. They could've checked with us on WhatsApp where they were already in touch with me. We had to literally stand on the road with all our luggage for almost an hour.
Further, they are two rooms in the basement where mobile network is weak. In this situation, wifi availablity becomes vital. But unfortunately the wifi wasn't working. We even requested the caretaker to get it fixed at around 3.30 pm but when we returned at around 10.30 pm, it was still not fixed. We were without wifi for our whole stay with poor mobile network. That reduces the feeling of safety also.
Moreover, there is only one washroom that is also upstairs in the parking lot while the rooms are in the basement. This is not against the owner as we should've checked it thoroughly while booking. But I'd request Booking.com to clearly highlight such things during the booking process, especially the bathroom being not attached. Also, the room name mentions 'basement rooms with bath on ground floor', it should clearly say bathroom is in parking.Sadman from United States – 4 July 2023 (8/10)
The place is very convenient and location wise was perfect. If you are planing to go to Mehrauli pretty often, this is the place to stay. Loved the hospitality
