Avatar Living@ Greater Kailash 2 Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Avatar Living@ Greater Kailash 2, you immediately get that “this isn’t your typical hotel” vibe — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. Located on the second floor of a building in one of New Delhi’s more upscale neighborhoods, this three-star property feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than a commercial hotel. The setup is refreshingly straightforward, without any pretense or over-the-top lobby theatrics that you sometimes get in this city.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Greater Kailash 2 is one of those areas where locals actually want to live, which tells you something right away. You’re surrounded by proper cafes, decent shopping at M Block Market (just a short walk), and the kind of tree-lined streets that make Delhi feel almost manageable. What I really appreciated was having free private parking right on site — anyone who’s tried to park in South Delhi knows this is basically gold. The metro isn’t right at your doorstep, but auto-rickshaws and Ubers are easy to flag down, and you’re well-positioned to reach both Connaught Place and the airport without too much drama.
Living Space Reality
The room setup here is where Avatar Living really shows its hand — these aren’t cramped hotel boxes, but actual living spaces that make sense for longer stays. Each unit comes with a proper kitchenette, which means you can actually make your morning coffee the way you like it or grab groceries from the local market and cook something real. The furnishing is modern without being flashy, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. Air conditioning works well (crucial for Delhi summers), and the Wi-Fi is reliable enough for video calls back home.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here covers the basics with both continental and vegetarian options, though don’t expect an elaborate buffet spread. What you get is fresh, well-prepared food that actually tastes like someone cares about it — the kind of simple, satisfying meal that sets you up properly for a day of exploring the city. The restaurant area has a relaxed, almost residential feel that matches the overall vibe of the place. You know what I mean — it’s the kind of setup where you can linger over your coffee without feeling rushed.
Why Guests Love It
With an 8.8 rating, Avatar Living clearly gets something right, and I think it comes down to understanding what travelers actually need versus what hotels think they want. Couples especially seem to appreciate the space and privacy — there’s something about having your own little setup that makes a trip feel more intimate and less touristy. The location scores consistently high because you’re genuinely in a good spot, not just somewhere that claims to be convenient. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a few days, establish a routine, and actually experience Delhi rather than just passing through it.
Hotels in Delhi span heritage havelis, business towers, and leafy boulevards scented with chai.

The staff were incredible! Truly above and beyond with their assistance. They remembered our coffee and breakfast order after one day. They came with me when I was having trouble getting a SIM card. They always greeted us with a smile. Breakfast was delicious! Nice spacious room and breakfast area. The room was also so quiet and a lovey surrounding area close to a lot of good cafes and restaurants.

It was very clean and had all the amenities
What could be improved: We booked the property at GK, it was overbooked. The host arranged our stay at their other property at Safdurjung Enclave. That was a bit of a hassle in the beginning but it worked out eventually.June from Lebanon – 10 November 2024 (9/10)
It's clean, quiet and great value.
What could be improved: If there was an option for non-Indian breakfast, it could have been even better sometimes (their Indian breakfast was tasty though)Raoul from Spain – 7 November 2024 (8/10)
The staff are amazingly helpful. Great breakfast and help with laundry. There is a lovely park close by wonderful for jogging or strolling.
What could be improved: Accessing the area after 22h is complicated due to gates being closed…could do with a bedside lamp.Simantini from India – 13 October 2024 (9/10)
Very well appointed, spacious and clean rooms with a beautiful aesthetic. The room we were given had a very clean and comfortable bed, and the bathroom was clean and functional. The bathroom had a functional tub, which my son was ecstatic about. Free street parking is available, and the location is in a very safe GK neighborhood, I stayed for a night, to experience Durga Puja s nearby and the location is also very central for people who want to explore South Delhi, everything is accessible and near. Property has a elevator, and there are breakfast options available, very fulfilling breakfast. There is a large functional kitchen in the property. Staff helped us with luggage. We did not need much support but the caretaker was always there and whenever we asked for something responded promptly.
What could be improved: May be provide more than one pillow per boarder? the pillow was very flat in my room, when I requested another one, was told by the caretaker there are no more pillows available. at 4700 / night, these basic comforts should not be denied to a boarder. Also, try and provide shampoo, conditioner and body lotion alongside body soap, because, again your price point is not basic.
