Zaza Stay Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Zaza Stay, you might wonder if you’ve found the right place — it’s tucked away in a residential area of Nizamuddin West that feels refreshingly authentic. This three-star property doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. The building itself is modest, but there’s something immediately welcoming about the staff who greet you at the entrance. You know what really caught my attention? The fact that they actually have parking on-site, which is basically gold in New Delhi.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying near Nizamuddin Durgah — you’re right in the heart of old Delhi’s spiritual center, but without the chaos of the main tourist strips. I mean, you can walk to the shrine in just a few minutes, and the whole area has this incredible energy, especially during evening prayers. The metro connectivity is solid too, so getting to India Gate or Connaught Place doesn’t require any major planning. What surprised me most was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re so close to everything that matters in the city.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was clean and functional — not fancy, but everything worked properly, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve tried in this price range. The air conditioning actually keeps up with Delhi’s heat (trust me, this matters), and the bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling all night. The bathroom was compact but well-maintained, with decent water pressure. You’ll find the usual amenities like a TV and basic toiletries, though don’t expect anything too elaborate.
Service & Practical Details
The staff here genuinely seem to care about making your stay work out well. They’re quick to help with directions, and I noticed they remember guests’ names after just a day or two. The free private parking is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving in Delhi — I watched other travelers circle the block for ages looking for spots while I just pulled right in. There’s no fancy restaurant on-site, but room service covers the basics, and the neighborhood has some excellent local eateries within walking distance.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.2 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Couples especially seem to appreciate the peaceful vibe and the romantic proximity to the durgah, which is beautiful in the evening light. The value proposition is solid too; you’re getting a reliable, well-located base for exploring Delhi without paying for amenities you probably won’t use anyway. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day refreshed, and don’t spend half your time dealing with hotel-related headaches.
Best hotels in Delhi blend marble spas, rooftop infinity pools, and butler-hosted chai ceremonies.

Beautiful homestay. Breakfast was very good and the decoration was amazing.

This was a lovely place to stay and the breakfast was wonderful. It fills you for the whole of the day. The room was quiet and large, and the bathroom very clean with great hot water. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Just a suggestion, it would be great if you have shampoo and shower gel. Sometimes soup only is hard to shower. Also change the top of the bottle of water.Ian from United Kingdom – 24 March 2025 (10/10)
The effortless style and tasteful decoration strikes you immediately. We could have easily spent relaxing downtime just sat in the communal lounge of this restful guesthouse.
In four weeks of travelling around Rajasthan, we had stayed in some good accommodations, but this was the best room of our trip. Definitely the best bathroom and shower by some distance.
The staff were welcoming, helpful, and very polite. After a late check-in, they helped us with food for the evening and organised our airport transfer for the following day. Worth mentioning that we were allowed to stay beyond our check-out time to wait for our airport taxi.
Breakfast was excellent with a variety of options.

Our stay at Zaza was beyond our expectations! The locality is wonderful—perfect for exploring, and we especially enjoyed our morning walk to the nearby Sunder Nursery. The big shaded balcony was a highlight. It was a great way to experience Delhi’s beautiful mornings and evenings. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, little B&B with lovely, smiley staff. It felt so calm. I was nervous about arriving in Delhi for the first time as a woman solo traveller and need not have been at all.
It was very well placed for sightseeing. I booked a guide (through Indian Excursions Co) for this as I only had 1 day in Delhi (not nearly enough time) and I didn't walk anywhere from the property but it was close to the city centre and I think it'd be okay to walk to the metro (maybe about 20 mins).
The room was very clean and felt safe. All locks on doors both internal and external were great. There was an air filter system in the room and hot water 24 hours. It was a nice bathroom with a big walk-in shower. There was a TV and I think Netflix access (I didn't use the TV though).
Breakfast was lovely. Cereal, fresh ground coffee/tea and toast with the option of eggs.
The communal areas were nice too. A breakfast room with a huge shared table, a lounge with lots of books and an outside courtyard that was serene to sit in with a cup of tea. WiFi access, where ever you were in the property was strong and fast.
I'd love to come back!
What could be improved: The bed was hard but I slept well and this is just a preference.Carol from United Kingdom – 6 March 2025 (9/10)
A very welcoming, clean and comfortable home stay. The room was clean and felt homely, the bed was very comfortable – we slept really well. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, and we had a really tasty dinner cooked for us one evening. Drinking water provided, decent breakfast, would stay again without hesitation.
What could be improved: The shower was a bit feeble, but the water temperature was spot on.Narelle from Australia – 4 March 2025 (10/10)
Beautifully appointed with lots of character and art.

EVERYTHING!!!
Such a beautiful place to stay in Delhi , away from the hustle and bustle and feels like a mini oasis.
Thank you to all the amazing staff at the property for being so welcoming and warm.
The decor is beautiful, everything is super clean and comfortable.
The food was amazing and would highly recommend ordering dinner.
Can’t wait to come back one day.Nick from United Kingdom – 1 February 2025 (9/10)
Clean, great food, short walk to local market and restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. Rooms are nicely done with good artwork and comfortable beds. We stayed 3 nights. Good choice for breakfast which was inclusive. We also ate in on two nights and had great food. Large portions. The other night we ate at Karims, a local restaurant serving good food at a reasonable price.
What could be improved: Some of the bathroom fittings are a bit tired.Judy from Canada – 26 January 2025 (10/10)
Everything!
The 4 poster bed, stunning washroom & large private balcony were lovely!
Being able to have a private meal prepared & served in the private dining room was a wonderful treat for me & my guests.
