YWCA International Guest House Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the YWCA International Guest House on Sansad Marg, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical hotel — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. This three-star property sits right in the heart of New Delhi, practically breathing distance from Connaught Place, which means you’re in one of the most coveted spots in the city. The building has this understated, almost institutional charm that grows on you, and there’s something refreshingly authentic about the whole setup that you don’t get at the flashier chain hotels.
Location That Actually Matters
I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.5 out of 10, you know something’s working here. You’re literally steps away from the India Gate area and central Delhi’s main attractions, but what I really appreciate is how walkable everything feels. The metro connections are solid, and you can actually explore the neighborhood on foot without feeling like you’re constantly dodging traffic — well, as much as that’s possible in Delhi. There’s free private parking on site too, which is honestly a godsend if you’re planning to rent a car or have someone picking you up.
The Room Experience
The accommodations here are clean and functional rather than fancy, but that’s sort of the point. Each room feels purposeful — you get what you need without unnecessary frills, and everything actually works properly. The beds are comfortable enough, and I’ve found the air conditioning reliable, which matters more than you might think during Delhi’s intense summer months. What strikes me most is how quiet it stays despite being in such a central location, probably because the building’s set back just enough from the main road chaos.
Daily Rhythms and Practical Touches
The staff here genuinely seem to care about making your stay work, and there’s this nice balance between being helpful and not hovering. Breakfast happens in a simple dining area that feels more like a community space than a formal restaurant — you’ll often find yourself chatting with other travelers over coffee. The whole place has this repeat guest thing going on, which tells you something about how people feel once they’ve stayed here. You know what I noticed? The little details work — reliable wifi, hot water that actually stays hot, and housekeeping that doesn’t wake you up at dawn.
Why Guests Love It
This place succeeds because it knows exactly what it is and doesn’t try to be something else. You’re getting excellent value in an unbeatable location, with staff who’ve figured out how to make budget-friendly hospitality feel genuine rather than cheap. The fact that so many people come back says everything — when you find a place in central Delhi that’s both affordable and reliable, you tend to stick with it. It’s perfect for travelers who want to spend their money on experiences rather than hotel amenities, but still need a comfortable, well-located base to come back to each night.
Delhi’s hotels wrap travelers in yoga sunrise decks, Ayurvedic retreats, and concierge-led heritage walks.

Spacious room with a window, excellent location, central but not too busy. Polite staff. Lift. Very good value for money. Was clean. Felt very safe. Will definitely use again. Staff had provided a fan heater as it was a cold wave.
What could be improved: The hot water didn't run to the shower, had a bucket bath. Could do with a new coat of paint.Prakash from India – 2 June 2023 (8/10)

Joel from India – 14 April 2023 (8/10)
Very courteous front office staff and very helpful. They are an asset .
Decent dining .
What could be improved: Toiletries in the bathroom can be much better . Please keep a hair drier on demand. The size of single bed and quality of mattress is not very comfortable. Please keep at least 2 bottles water in room daily , going out of the room for water with a jug is not good.Benjamin from United Kingdom – 9 March 2023 (7/10)
straight forward, card machine didn’t accept Visa but man helped me to a trusted ATM and got cash out. felt safe.
What could be improved: nothing bad or wrong. good for overnight stay, not a luxury by any means but not advertised as one either.Amy from United Kingdom – 25 February 2023 (8/10)
