  Lovely hotel. Only downside was staff not always attentive. We were a group of nine having a drink outside 2 members of staff at different times were asked to bring extra chairs so we could all sit down, they didn’t bring any so we just had one drink then left. We also ordered a packed breakfast at check in as we were leaving at 6 am. We gave our order but the next morning we discovered it hadn’t been put through so we didn’t get it. For the standard and cost of the hotel I would have expected these things to be done.

  The room was immaculate and had all the amenities we'd need. All of the staff were really welcoming, helpful and attentive. The food in the restaurants was delicious and reasonably priced.
  
  What could be improved: The pool and spa were closed, something I was not aware of before I booked. This was disappointing.

  The breakfast and the Club room service were excellent.
  The pool was under renovation, but the hotel arranged for us to use the pool at the neighboring Imperial hotel. The hotel even took us there and picked us up.
  
  What could be improved: We had a small problem with the booking at check-in, which Vinayak Kaushik (duty manager) resolved in the end, so it was a good experience in the end.
  the price was a little bit high, but that's not surprising with the Shangri-La chain.
