It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — this three-star property in Kalkaji delivers exactly what you’d expect from a solid mid-range hotel in New Delhi. The lobby is clean and welcoming, with that particular brand of Indian hospitality that makes you feel like you’re genuinely wanted there, not just another booking number.

Here’s what I really appreciate about this location — Kalkaji isn’t one of those touristy neighborhoods where you’re constantly dodging other travelers. It’s actually a residential area that gives you a more authentic slice of Delhi life. You’re close enough to the Lotus Temple (honestly, it’s just a short auto-rickshaw ride away) and well-connected to the metro system, but you’re not paying those inflated prices you’d find in Connaught Place or near India Gate. The area has that lived-in feel where locals go about their daily business, which I find way more interesting than sterile hotel districts.

Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully arranged — you know how some budget places just cram furniture in without thinking? Not here. Everything has its place, and the AC actually works properly, which honestly can’t be taken for granted in Delhi’s heat. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep, and I appreciated the decent water pressure in the shower. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean and functional, which is really what matters when you’re spending most of your day exploring the city anyway.

Practical Perks

Two things really stood out during my stay — the free parking (which is actually a big deal in Delhi if you’re renting a car) and the vegetarian breakfast spread. Now, I’ll be honest, I was initially skeptical about an all-vegetarian breakfast, but it turned out to be surprisingly satisfying. They do a proper South Indian spread alongside North Indian options, and the parathas were genuinely good. The staff seemed to take real pride in the food, which you can taste in the preparation.

What strikes me most about this place is how it seems to attract couples looking for a no-fuss base in Delhi — and I can see why. There’s something refreshingly straightforward about the whole operation. You’re not paying for amenities you won’t use, but you’re getting the essentials done well. The neighborhood feels safe for evening walks, the metro connectivity means you can reach most of Delhi without dealing with traffic nightmares, and the staff actually remembers your name after a day or two. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re getting honest value rather than being nickel-and-dimed at every turn.

  The staff was very cooperative, and the uncle on reception was very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: In one of the rooms in which I was staying, the bathroom smelt very weird. They said it was due to the exhaust sucking the smell from the gutter that was beneath the bathroom.

  The hotel had a fantastic Wi-Fi connection that was not only fast but also stable. Although the location was on a road, it was in a peaceful neighborhood. Additionally, it was close to both the metro and bus stops.
  
  What could be improved: The food was very expensive, and the linen was not changed throughout my entire stay. The rooms are in need of renovation, especially considering the price they charge.

  Location was excellent. Metro station is close by. But there was no restaurant. Tea/ coffe sachets were missing. No complimentary water bottle in the room. Bathroom door was damaged. Overall not a good value for money and also not well maintained.

  It's a nice, quiet neighbourhood that is simultaneously close to two decently connected metro stations. The staff were knowledgeable and obliging. Bringing breakfast to the room is a nice touch.
  
  What could be improved: This has nothing to do with the staff at this hotel, but rather Treebo as a company. Despite choosing the (more expensive) booking.com option that requested no upfront payment, I received repeated emails asking for a deposit to secure the booking. This contravenes the principles of the site and added undue stress as I worried that my room would not be available when I arrived. Moreover, I was charged the full price of a booking I made and then cancelled well before the deadline. It then took intervention from booking.com (Treebo were unresponsive to messages) to gain a refund, more than a month later.

  The place is the same as the pictures are put up! Decent facilities available. Quaint little place – situated in a residential area so that works. At a stones throw there are a bunch of restaurants you can eat at.
