Walking into CASA CENTRAL for the first time, I was honestly surprised by how calm it felt despite being right in the heart of Paharganj’s chaos. This three-star property sits on Main Bazar Road, which sounds intimidating if you know the area, but the moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of relief from the street madness outside. The lobby isn’t fancy, but it’s clean and welcoming — exactly what you need after navigating New Delhi‘s overwhelming energy.

Location Perks

You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally in the backpacker hub of Delhi, but you’re not stuck with typical backpacker accommodation quality. Paharganj gets a bad rap sometimes, but honestly, it’s one of the most authentic neighborhoods you’ll experience in the city. The restaurant scene here is incredible — I’m talking proper street food, family-run places that have been serving the same recipes for decades, and everything costs almost nothing. New Delhi Railway Station is a five-minute walk, which means you can catch trains to anywhere in India without dealing with Delhi’s traffic nightmare.

The Room Experience

My room was smaller than what you’d get in a business hotel, but it had everything I actually needed. The AC worked well (crucial in Delhi’s heat), the bed was comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep, and the bathroom was properly maintained. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stayed at night — given that you’re on one of Paharganj’s busiest streets, that’s actually quite an achievement. The Wi-Fi was reliable too, which isn’t always a given in this price range.

Practical Advantages

The staff here really knows their stuff about Delhi, and I mean beyond the usual tourist recommendations. They helped me figure out the metro system, suggested local markets that weren’t tourist traps, and even arranged a reliable auto-rickshaw driver for day trips. There’s no parking on-site, but honestly, you don’t want a car in this part of Delhi anyway — everything’s walkable or easily reachable by metro. The 24-hour front desk actually means 24 hours, which came in handy when my flight got delayed and I arrived at 2 AM.

What makes CASA CENTRAL work so well is that it strikes this perfect balance between authentic Delhi experience and actual comfort. You’re not isolated in some sterile hotel district — you’re right where the city’s real energy is, but you’ve got a proper place to retreat to. Couples seem to particularly appreciate it, probably because it offers just enough comfort and quiet to feel romantic despite being in one of India’s most intense neighborhoods.   The room is very simple but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff is excellent – super helpful and always ready to assist with anything. Great experience overall!
  I don’t understand people complaining about the location. The hotel's location is clearly shown on Booking, and yes, it’s near a local market – which, in my opinion, is a great way to experience the authentic atmosphere of India.

  -Our favourite place we’ve stayed in India!
  -amazing, friendly staff.

  I had a great stay at Hotel Casa Central in New Delhi. The staff was incredibly nice and always helpful, making sure I had everything I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a properly functioning air conditioner that made my stay even more pleasant. The bathroom was in excellent condition, with reliable hot water. Although the room didn’t have a window, it was quiet, which made for a restful night’s sleep. Specially the owner was super nice person and was helpful and kind alwaysOverall, a great experience—I would definitely stay here again!

  The service is 10/10. The hotel owner will help you make your stay in Delhi perfect (taxi booking, guide assistance, etc.). The sockets are a bit old, but everything is working. Air conditioning, fan, boiler for hot water, Insect screens on windows. Elevator for residents. No insects or rats. On the ground floor, you can wait to check in on a soft sofa in the cool and quiet

  I was in Delhi many times, but Casa Central was absolutley the best place where I ever slept (had no idea that places like this can exist at Paharganj).
  It is wonderfull place. In the centre of all Paharganj mess but peace & quite.
  Extremely clean!
  Hot water provided 24 h.
  Staff very helpfull & nice.
  Rooftop terrace available (no views, but calm).
  Staff can arrange airport taxi for small money, very punctual.
