First Impressions

Honestly, when I first walked up to Bloomrooms @ New Delhi Railway Station, I wasn’t expecting much — I mean, it’s right across from one of India’s busiest train stations. But you know what? This three-star place completely surprised me. The modern glass facade and clean lobby feel like a breath of fresh air in the chaotic Paharganj area, and the staff actually seemed genuinely happy to see guests arrive.

Location & Getting Around

The location is honestly brilliant if you’re doing any train travel in India. You literally just walk across the street to New Delhi Railway Station — no haggling with auto-rickshaw drivers or getting lost in traffic. Paharganj can feel overwhelming at first (it’s pretty intense with all the backpackers, street food, and constant activity), but I actually grew to love having the Main Bazaar right there. You’ll find everything from cheap eats to last-minute travel gear, and Connaught Place is just a short metro ride away.

The Room Experience

I’ll be straight with you — the rooms aren’t huge, but they’re smartly designed and surprisingly comfortable. The beds really are as good as everyone says; I slept better here than at some much pricier places I’ve stayed. The room had this clean, minimalist vibe with decent air conditioning (crucial in Delhi’s heat) and a compact bathroom that actually had good water pressure. The soundproofing works pretty well too, which is impressive considering you’re basically next to a major railway hub.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast setup is solid — they do both continental and buffet options, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety. The Indian dishes were actually authentic (not the watered-down hotel versions you sometimes get), and they had enough Western options to keep everyone happy. There’s also a restaurant on-site that serves decent food, though honestly, with all the amazing street food and local eateries in Paharganj, I mostly ate out. The coffee in the lobby is pretty good if you need a quick caffeine fix.

Why Guests Love It

What really makes this place work is how it balances convenience with comfort. Couples seem to particularly appreciate it — and I can see why. It’s got that cozy, intimate feel without being too fancy or intimidating. The staff goes out of their way to help with train bookings and travel advice, which is incredibly useful when you’re navigating India’s railway system. Plus, having a reliable, clean base right in the heart of everything means you can dive into the Delhi experience but retreat to somewhere peaceful when you need a break. For the price point, it’s honestly one of the better deals I’ve found in the city. The hotel offers excellent value for travelers seeking comfort and convenience near the station.

  What could be improved: Clear directions to find the property from the airport metro would have been helpful. You can get off the metro and walk across the bridges through the train station. Head right when you exit the station.
